Assistant Pastor Stephen Matthewson
Stephen Matthewson is husband to Monica and father to Aryana, Jazlyn, and Jace. He is the Assistant Pastor of United, The Pentecostal Church of Spring Lake.
As an Army Veteran of over 23 years of service, going from Private to Master Sergeant, it is his privilege to serve at United, which is very close to Fort Liberty(Bragg) NC. This allows him the opportunity to not only help expand the Kingdom of God, but to also be a mentor for those young Soldiers that attend United, while stationed at Fort Liberty. He also has a Business Administration Degree, that he received in 2012, from Liberty University, which is located in Lynchburg, VA.
Stephen and Monica, who serves as the Ladies Director and has her Masters Degree in Education-Reading Specialist, have been married for over twenty years. They’re passionate about family, reading, everything related to the Carolina Tarheels, and spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
